PlaceMark
Fall 2007–Spring 2009
PlaceMark is a multi-user collaborative writing system for platial experiences. It is the product of an interdisciplinary research project involving members of computer science and HCI at Virginia Tech and English and new media at Hollins University.
PlaceMark properties:
- users create shared narratives of their experiences of place and places
- integrates GPS data in user-driven exploration of outdoor spaces
- supports shared tagging and tag-based organization
